In „Souvenir“erforscht die Künstler:in die Beziehung zwischen Erinnerung, Nostalgie und Moderne und konzentriert sich darauf, wie Geschichte und urbane Mythen in Echtzeit vermarktet, verzerrt und umgestaltet werden können. Die Künstler:in reflektiert in ihren Arbeiten die Verschmelzung zeitgenössischer urbaner Räume mit historischen Symbolen und schafft eine unverwechselbare visuelle Sprache, die Bilder aus der Welt der Comics und der Popkultur aufgreift und neu interpretiert.

Die Künstler:in kontrastiert den nostalgischen Charme des französischen Kitsches mit der rauen Wirklichkeit des urbanen Lebens. Die Nostalgie dient als zentrales Thema und verwandelt die Geschichte in eine private und kollektive Mythologie. Durch diesen Kontrast wirft das Projekt die Frage auf, wie sich die Menschen in den sich entwickelnden städtischen Räumen bewegen und mit der sozialen Segregation umgehen.

In ‘Souvenir’, the artist explores the relationship between memory, nostalgia and modernity, focusing on how history and urban myths can be commercialized, distorted and reshaped in real time. In her works, the artist reflects on the fusion of contemporary urban spaces with historical symbols, creating a distinctive visual language that takes up and reinterprets images from the world of comics and pop culture. Artist contrasts the nostalgic charm of French kitsch with the harsh reality of urban life. Nostalgia serves as a central theme and transforms the story into a private and collective mythology. Through this contrast, the project raises the question of how people move in evolving urban spaces and deal with social segregation.
