Die Künstler:in erarbeitete einen Zyklus neuer Musikstücke, der sich aus der reichen ukrainischen Kultur, vor allem mythischen und folkoristischen Traditionen speist. Die ASoP Stipendiat:in möchte dabei auf verschiedene Aspekte zurückgreifen: slawische Volkserzählungen, mythische Kreaturen und traditionelle Feste, sowie ukrainische Instrumente und die „Mi Sherberach

Tonleiter“, bzw. auch „Ukrainische Moll-Skala“ genannt, die traditionell etwa in der Klezmer-Musik verwendet wird.

Am 15. April 2024 gelangten beide künstlerischen Projekte im Rahmen eines Festkonzertes und einer mit diesem verbundenen Performance im Klangtheater der mdw zur Aufführung. Der Abend wurde mittels Lifestream international übertragen, das heißt auch in der Ukraine.

(Artists Solidarity Program Europe – ASoP) realisiert.

The artist created a cycle of new pieces of music that draws on the rich Ukrainian culture, especially mythical and folkoristic traditions. The ASoP fellow wants to draw on various aspects: Cultural — Slavic folk tales, mythical creatures and traditional festivals as well as musical — typical Ukrainian instruments and the „Mi Sherberach scale“, also known as the „Ukrainian minor scale“, which is traditionally used in klezmer music, for example.

On April 15, 2024 the artist’s project has been performed as part of a festive concert and an associated performance in the mdw’s Klangtheater. The evening was broadcasted internationally via livestream, including in Ukraine.
