Dezidiertes Ziel war es, unterschiedliche Nationalitäten und Generationen sowie verschiedene Stile und Medien in einem zeitgenössischen künstlerischen Konzept zusammenzuführen. Die Grundbausteine bilden dabei das Konzertformat (Cello und Klavier), eine Performance sowie ein interaktives Video.

Musikalisch bildet die Cellosonate Nr. 5 in D-Dur, op. 102 Nr. 2 von Ludwig van Beethoven den künstlerischen Ausgangspunkt. Die Sonate gehört zum Spätwerk und steht für eine Phase struktureller Verdichtung und formaler Innovation.

Ergänzt wurde das Programm durch Werke des 19. und 20. Jahrhunderts.

Alle Werke wurden in ihrer Originalfassung aufgeführt, jedoch durch Reflexionen zu Umbruchs- und Krisenzeiten erweitert, die einen Bogen von der Entstehungszeit der Musik bis in die Gegenwart spannten. Die eigens entwickelte Performance realisierte sich teilweise im Bühnenraum und teilweise als interaktives Video.

The artist’s stated goal was to bring together different nationalities and generations, as well as diverse styles and media within a contemporary artistic concept. The fundamental components included the concert format (cello and piano), a performance, and an interactive video.

Musically, Cello Sonata No. 5 in D major, Op. 102 No. 2 by Ludwig van Beethoven formed the artistic point of departure. The sonata belonged to the composer’s late period, characterized by structural concentration and formal innovation.

All works were performed in their original versions, yet expanded through reflections on times of upheaval and crisis, creating a conceptual arc from the time of the compositions’ origins to the present day. The performance developed for this purpose was realized partly on stage and partly as an interactive video.
